طالبان کے سامنے ڈٹ جانے والی بہادر ٹیچر سحر افشاں
پشاور کے آرمی پبلک سکول میں ہلاک ہونے والے 19 بچوں اور
ایک استانی کا تعلق شہر کی ایک رہائشی کالونی گلبہار سے تھا۔
پشاور شہر کی طرح گلبہار کے لوگ بھی افسردہ ہیں۔ اس علاقے میں حکیم بخاری کالونی میں نویں جماعت کے دو طالب علم اور استانی سحر افشاں رہتے تھے۔
ان تینوں نے دیگر بچوں کو شدت پسندوں سے بچانے کے لیے اپنی جان کی بازی لگا دی تھی۔ سحر افشان نے مزاحمت کی اور سکول حملے میں ہلاک ہونے والی وہ پہلی خاتون تھیں۔
گلبہار کے مختلف گلی کوچوں میں کہیں ایک تو کہیں دو بچے اس سانحے میں ہلاک ہوئے ہیں۔
گلبہار کالونی پشاور کے اندرون شہر گنجان آباد کی بعد 1970 کی دہائی میں قائم کی گئی تھی۔
اس علاقے میں زیادہ تر لوگ تعلیم یافتہ ہیں۔ بیشتر لوگ نوکر پیشہ اور تاجر بتائے گئے ہیں۔ آرمی پبلک سکول میں اردو کا مضمون پڑھانے والی سحر افشان بھی گلبہار کے علاقے حکیم بخاری سٹریٹ کی رہائشی تھیں۔
گھر کے کل افراد ایک بوڑھی ماں، ایک بھائی اور ایک سحر افشان خود تھیں۔ والد فوت ہو چکے ہیں۔
سحر افشاں ایک اچھی منتظم اور بہادر خاتون تھیں یہی وجہ تھی کہ انھوں نے ڈیٹوریم میں داخل ہونے والے شدت پسندوں کے سامنے کھڑے ہو کر ان کی مزاحمت بھی کی تھی۔
ان کے بھائی فواد گل کے مطابق انھیں یقین نہیں آرہا کہ اب ان کی چھوٹی بہن اس دنیا میں نہیں رہی۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ انھیں طالب علموں نے بتایا کہ ان کی ٹیچر نے شدت پسندوں کو اندر آنے سے روکا کیونکہ وہ کوئی آرمی افسر یا سکول کے عملے کے لوگ نہیں لگ رہے تھے۔
شدت پسندوں نے انھیں پہلے سر پر گولی ماری پھر کندھوں پر
گولی ماری۔ وہ اس سکول میں ہلاک ہونے والی پہلی خاتون تھیں۔گلبہار کے علاقے حکیم بخاری سٹریٹ میں سحر افشان کے علاوہ نویں جماعت کے دو طالب علم بھی رہتے تھے جن میں کے بارے میں لوگوں نے بتایا کہ وہ خود باہر نکل سکتے تھے لیکن وہ اپنے چھوٹے بھائیوں اور دیگر بچوں کو بچانے کے لیے وہیں موجود رہے۔
سکول حملے میں ہلاک ہونے والے بیشتر بچوں کی رحمان بابا قبرستان میں تدفین کی گئی ہے۔ جمعے کو لوگوں نے قبروں پر پھولوں کی چادر چڑھائی اور دعائیں کیں۔
بیشتر مساجد میں نماِ جمعہ کے بعد ہلاک ہونے والے افراد کے لیے دعائیں کی گئیں۔ لوگوں کا کہنا تھا کہ حکومت کو اب اس طرح کی کارروائیاں روکنے کے لیے ٹھوس اقدامات کرنے ہوں گے ۔
آرمی سکول پر حملے میں ہلاک ہونے والے افراد کی تعداد 149 ہو گئی ہے۔گذشتہ رات اسی ایم ایچ میں ایک زخمی بچہ دم توڑ گیا ہے۔

History of Hazrat Baha-ud-din Zakariya Multani (1170-1267)
Hazrat Baha-ud-din Zakariya Multani was a Sufi of Suhrawardiyya order (tariqa). His full name was Abu Muhammad Bahauddin Zakariya. He was a Hashmi from the aulad of Hadhrat Asad Ibn Hashim.
Sheikh Baha-ud-Din Zakariya was born at Kot Kehror (Karor Lal Eason), a town of the Layyah District near Multan, Punjab, Pakistan, around 1170. His grandfather Shah Kamaluddin Ali Shah Qureshi arrived in Multan from Mecca en route to Khwarezm where he stayed for a short while. In Tariqat he was the disciple of renowned Sufi master Shaikh Shahab al-Din Suhrawardi who awarded himKhilafat only after 17 days of stay at his Khanqah in Baghdad. For fifteen years he went from place to place to preach Islam and after his wanderings Bahawal Haq settled in Multan in 1222.

Dr Abdul Sattar appointed Registrar of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur
Prof. Dr. Rao Muhammad Azal Khan, Vice Chancellor, IUB/GSCWU has appointed Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan, Assistant Professor Department of Geography as University Registrar. Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan completed his PhD from Durham University England and has been performing teaching and research activities in IUB for the last 28 years. It is worth mentioning that he has already performed duty as Registrar amicably on previously. The faculty, employees and students have congratulated Dr. Abdul Sattar on assuming the charge of the office of Registrar.
